Leigh-on-Sea Businesses Take on 24-Hour 'Southendurance' Challenge for Neonatal Charity

June 12, 2025

Team members from Leigh-based firms THS Concepts, Sculpt 3D, and Rocket Growth are preparing to undertake a gruelling endurance challenge in support of the Ickle Pickles charity, which provides vital equipment for neonatal units across the UK.

The event, known as Southendurance, will take place on Friday 21st June, with participants walking a staggering 100,000 steps (approximately 46 miles) between Leigh- on-Sea and Shoeburyness — starting at 3:00 AM and finishing just before midnight.

Seb Coombs, THS Concepts, said:

"We are proud to support such a vital cause, which is so close to our heart. The Ickle Pickles charity does incredible work — something our family has experienced first-hand. This challenge is a fantastic way for the local community to come together and make a real difference."

Kat Khalife, a spokesperson for Ickle Pickles, added:

“We are deeply appreciative of the fantastic effort by THS concepts, Sculpt 3D and Rocket Growth and their teams in this 'Southendurance' challenge. Their passion and commitment not only help us provide essential equipment to neonatal units but also highlight the urgent needs of premature and sick babies. With their support, we can give every new-born a fighting chance for a healthy start in life.”

The public is encouraged to get behind the team and support the cause by donating through the official fundraising page: on the THS Concepts website
