Local Business Grants!!! Quick!

Southend Borough Council are offering a 30% grant to businesses in the Southend area to help with expansion and development that will support businesses to take on additional staff or to safeguard positions that may be at risk.

They are really flexible with what that project can be providing that it doesn’t pay towards any monthly on-going costs/ subscriptions and that the remaining match funding comes from private sector investment.

Small and Medium businesses (existing and start-up) based in the Southend, leigh, benfleet and surrounding area are eligible for support and funding.

Just a taster of what else Business Southend Growth Hub will be offering: -
- Innovation vouchers in partnership with the University of Essex and Anglia Ruskin University to subsidise access to training, academic expertise and University facilities.
- Fully funded Business Support workshops, tailored towards business needs, supporting the development and sustainability of businesses including start up and existing businesses. These courses will range from support with import / export, professional use of social media, marketing and start up support.
- All courses are led by professionals.
- The Business Hub based near to Southend Victoria Station will provide premises at affordable prices for new and existing business in Southend. With office space and hot   desk availability, there will also be meeting rooms available.
- Completion of the hub is anticipated for the beginning of 2015.
