Local Recruitment Company Fundraising For Seafaring Charity

Spinnaker Global, a shipping recruitment agency based in Leigh-on-Sea, is fundraising for a seafarers’ charity. A bold team of three explorers – Matthew, Lauren and Abi – have signed up to climb the Three Peaks challenge, scaling Ben Nevis in Scotland, Helvellyn in England, and Snowdon in Wales, all in 24 hours, this coming June.

In order to fundraise for the Sailors’ Society, the intrepid team are hosting events throughout Essex to try and raise awareness of the work this essential charity carries out.

Given that 90% of what we own has travelled to us by ship, seafarers are an unseen and under-appreciated community who work under gruelling conditions. The charity offers support and guidance to these seafarers be it spiritual, professional, or financial.

On 19 March, a Charity Gig Night is being held at Hadleigh Conservative Club featuring 10-piece band Streetlife, playing crowd-pleasers from soul, funk and motown.

Then, on 29 April, the team are hosting a Quiz Night in Thundersley, inviting teams of between 5-8 people, and it’s bring your own drinks and nibbles.
