Rotary Club of Leigh-on-sea Great Pier Walk 2024

Help us celebrate our 20th Great Pier Walk, raise funds for the Southend Hospital Spotlight Appeal and raise funds for your own charity.

Sunday 19 May 2024 marks our 20th Great Pier Walk and over the years we have raised tens of thousands of pounds for local charities. We would really like to mark this occasion with a bumper sum raised for the “Spotlight Appeal” and other local charities.

How can you or your charity help?

There are a number of ways that you could help us:

By taking part in the walk - all we require is an entry fee for each individual taking part. In addition to taking part you can raise sponsorship either for completing the walk or for setting yourself a challenge to complete as many 1.33 mile laps as you feel able. You can raise money by sponsorship either for the Spotlight Appeal or for your charity. All we shall ask if you are raising money for your charity is how much and what it is going towards.

Help us on the day, we are a relatively small club and the event requires a certain amount of help to run smoothly. An event like this can provide those working on it a fair amount of camaraderie, enjoyment and fulfilment so why not offer to help.
