Stop the hunt!
Stop the hunt! I’ve already found lots of egg-cellent things for you to do this Easter with the kids.
Leigh-on-Sea Community Centre is putting on an array of Easter themed events for the school holidays. They have bubble workshops, circus skills, Easter dancing, Easter party, arts and crafts throughout April and a FREE Easter fun day on Wednesday 17th April. All events require booking in advance (even the free event), so call today on 01702 716288 or you can purchase in person.

If you would like to meet the Easter Bunny head on down to Southend Pier. There’s an Easter Egg Hunt at the end of the pier, where children need to look for the photos of eggs dotted around and note down the clues. They will receive a prize once finished and if they’re lucky, the Easter Bunny himself will be making an appearance. There is colouring for the kids to do in the Pavilion while you relax with a coffee. This Egg-citing event will be taking place between 19th-22nd April.

If you’ve got an Egg-ceptional little creative one you might want to do the drop-in crafts at Belfairs Woodland Centre on 17th April. Or if you have an Egg-xplorer, from 19th-22nd April you can hunt for clues in Belfairs Woods on a self-led Easter trail, once you’ve solved the puzzle you can claim your special prize. There’s no need to book for either of these events and they suitable for all ages (although some kids might need some help taking part), a small charge applies for these.
There’s some cracking creative workshops going on down at Stax of Creations throughout the Easter holidays where you can make slime, squishies or bath bombs. All of these with be Easter themed in pastel colours and chocolate scented. Head on over to @staxofcreations for more details of dates.
Don’t be a chicken, come and join in at all of the Easter fun at Barleylands. There’s an Easter trail, crafts, lamb bottle feeding, bumpy tractor rides, birds of prey display, reptile talks AND they even have a hatching station…I’m not yolk-ing.

Looking for something to do on Easter Monday? Why not hatch a plan to go to the Southend Shake Down? This free family friendly event takes place on the Seafront on 22nd April. Come and see all of the motorbikes parked up, (there will be hundreds!), trade stands, live music and more. You could combine this with the Pier, the Cliff Lift, Sealife Adventure or Adventure Island.
