The Dusty Peddlers - Our Live Music Review

November 13, 2014 by Joanna Harrison

Our review of the week! The Dusty Peddlers!

If you missed The Dusty Peddlers on Friday at Ye Olde Smack, then you really did miss out. This uber cool, local band created an electric atmosphere and really are 'The Band' to look out for!

This summer, they took the headline slot at Leigh Regatta, rocking the whole of Old Leigh, and with their quirky, busky vibe, you really cannot but smile in their company.

Originally a three piece, but recently with a change of musicians, The Dusty Peddlers have not only grown in numbers of late, but also in musical talent.

At the heart of the band lies Scott Pryor (guitar vocals) who has been on the local music scene for years and matured from a regular, solo, acoustic artist to a the front man of one of Leigh’s most sought after bands!

Both Scott and Jan Tickell (double bass) have seen there fair share of gigs and musicians play with them and now, with their newly recruited Jazz guitarist (Daniel Parker ), their horn section (Paul Carver) and mix in the master of percussions (Toby Duffin) these guys really can turn a Johnny Cash song into a sound that makes you feel like you are in New Orleans!

These wild bunch of buskers have built up quite a following to say the least and if you want to catch them live then head to Ten Green Bottle’s on The Night of Lights (28th November) .. it will be busy, it will be hot... but it will be fantastic.
