Shark in the Park, Palace Theatre

What? There's a shark? In the park?! This hilarious family musical features all three series - Shark in the Park, Shark in the Dark and Shark in the Park on a Windy Day - making for the perfect day out during February half term. Follow the exciting adventures as this hilarious tale is put together on stage for all family members to enjoy.

Big Fish Little Fish, Cliffs Pavilion

Officially the 'Best Family Event in Essex', awarded by National Family Arts Festival, a rave with your youngsters might not be exactly what you had in mind for the perfect day out, but apparently it is! Expect world renowned DJ's, live percussion, giant balloons, glitter cannons, bubble machines; the lot. Their mantra, 'Helping parents be responsibly irresponsible since 2013', speaks volumes.

Dragon Craft Event, The Forum

Inspired by the hit book series 'How to Train your Dragon', this exciting session will introduce dragon themed crafts & Viking weaponry, as well as a live story-telling with a free copy of 'How to Train your Dragon' book included with every ticket. This morning of crafts and story-telling is a great activity to keep the kids busy this half term. Accompanying parents and carers will not need to purchase a ticket, but one will be required for each child attending and is aimed at children aged between 8-11 years.

Stories in the Sky, Southend Planetarium

Suitable for children aged 3+, this fascinating talk will include stories of the night sky. Discover a range of tales, such as why is Cancer the crab among the stars? Why are Orion and Scorpius so far from each other?

Mega Fun Days, Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre

Mega Fun Day at Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre will be returning this half terms, bringing an indoor family fun day for children aged up to 11 years old. From magic shows, games, inflatables and much more, there's so much to get stuck into. It is also a great venue for those with a wide variety of ages to entertain, with a special toddler zone for children under three years old.
