Whether you use your Southend Pass every day or just occasionally, here’s a reminder of how to get the most from it.

The Southend Pass remains great value at just £12.50 per month or £125 per year. It offers up to 3 hours of parking per day in each of Southend’s four zones, that’s potentially 12 hours daily, plus extra evening benefits between 6-9pm in zone 1a and University Square. Perfect for residents, workers, and visitors alike.

Important Parking after 6pm

If you park after 6pm in Zone 1 or University Square, you must start a new session in the app.

This applies even if you have already parked earlier in the day.

Example 1. If you arrive at 3pm and want to stay until 9pm, you need to book two separate sessions, from 3 to 6pm and 6 to 9pm.

Example 2. If you arrive at 5pm and want to stay until 8pm, you need to book two separate sessions, from 5 to 6pm and 6 to 8pm.

This applies to locations in Zone 1 as well as University Square Car Park during their evening operating hours.

You can now park more than one vehicle within the same or different zones at the same time!

This is a huge benefit to many who may be wanting to use the Southend Pass at the same time as a member of their family is.

The 3-hour parking allowance per zone remains the limit.

Roaming within a zone

The Southend Pass also allows roaming within a zone. You can move your vehicle between different locations in the same zone during an active parking session and not have to worry about changing the app or buying additional parking time.

Great news for commuters!

The daily commuter discount for Southend Pass customers has been extended to a new designated location. After a successful pilot at Belton Way West and Belton Way East, Leigh-on-Sea, the discount is now available at East beach Car Park, Shoeburyness.
