Careers ‘Making every day count’ at local hospice charity

A local charity is opening its doors for local jobseekers to explore a career that’s ‘Making every day count.’
Havens Hospices is holding a Careers Open Day on Wednesday 13th July 2022 for those looking for a rewarding career.
The event, taking place at Little Havens in Benfleet from 2-7pm, will give attendees the opportunity to discover the variety of jobs available, such as nursing, fundraising, retail and administration.
There will also be the chance to speak with the Volunteering Team about the opportunities available for supporting the hospices, from the care floor to the shop floor.
Attendees will be able to talk with current staff members, including the recruitment team and apply for vacancies on the day.
Dawn Hathaway, HR Manager at Havens Hospices, says “Joining us will give you the unique opportunity to be a part of a multidisciplinary team, helping us to make every day count.
“Although some roles may not be giving direct care to our patients, the contribution they make have a direct effect on our care services – allowing us to give the gift of time and create precious memories for our patients and their families.”
The registered charity, which cares for children, young people and adults with complex or incurable conditions in the local community, offers several employee benefits, including employee wellbeing sessions, NHS pensions for continuing members and a £1000 welcome gift for all Nurse and Healthcare Assistant roles.
