‘Rock ‘n’ Glow’ makes a guest appearance

‘Rock ‘n’ Glow’ from Herd In The City has marched on over to Southend-on-Sea’s iconic pier to make a guest appearance at LuminoCity.
The graceful elephant, designed and decorated by Essex artist Neil Fendell, depicts an evening scene of Southend-on-Sea’s iconic seafront and will be on show in the pier’s window throughout the February half-term and LuminoCity - the fantastic festival of light event transforming Southend’s landmarks this February.
‘Rock ‘n’ Glow’ is one of over 45 large elephant sculptures that will be dotted around the city from the middle of July to September, including Shoeburyness and Leigh-on-Sea, as part of Herd In The City - a free art trail created by Havens Hospices and Wild in Art, in partnership with Southend-on-Sea City Council.
Rachel Hawksworth, Project Manager for Havens Hospices, said: “We are very excited to see ‘Rock ‘n’ Glow’ out and about, giving everyone a taste of things to come this summer.”
“Herd In The City will offer everyone a great day out, exploring parts of the city they may not have visited before, and raise thousands of pounds for the free, specialist hospice care Havens Hospices provides for local adults, children, and their families.”
Stomp over to Southend’s iconic pier to get a sneak peek of Rock ‘n’ Glow’ ahead of the spectacular free art trail this Summer!
Share your ele-selfies with Rock ‘n’ Glow at herdinthe.city on Instagram and @herdinthecity on Twitter and Facebook, using the hashtag #HerdInTheCity, and you could be in with a chance of winning a limited edition car sticker and elephant teddy.
