Must Watch: Christmas Spirit Short Film

Eagle-eyed Leigh-ites may have spotted a film crew on the Broadway a few weekends ago filming ‘Christmas Spirit’ a new short film directed by Andy Delaney (Love is Blind), written by Rich With and produced by Jo Farrugia, Andy and Rich (all Leigh-on-Sea locals) and starring Curtis Flowers and introducing Bert Davis as ‘The Boy’.

Working in conjunction with the charity Cruse Bereavement Care Andy and Rich have crafted a beautifully melancholic and yet ultimately uplifting Christmas film guaranteed to leave a lump in your throat.

The full cast also includes Charles Sharman-Cox, Olivia Sawbridge, Rachel Beauchamp, Dylan Tate and Jamie-Lee Pike. And features music by local artists MG Boulter and Asylums and Matthew Halsall.

Rich says “Obviously Christmas is a time for celebration, but for many of us it’s also a time of reflection as we look back at the loved ones we have lost throughout the year. It’s perhaps not remarkable that many of us have lost someone we care deeply for at Christmas time. This film is for anyone who can resonate with that.”
