easyJet’s first flights between London Southend and Jersey takes off as airline celebrates first anniversary of its base

easyJet celebrated this week with its inaugural flight between London Southend and Jersey, and marking the first anniversary of its London Southend base.

The first flight to the largest of the Channel Islands took off on time and provides customers across Essex and the South East with even more choice at great value fares. The route continues to operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the summer.

The announcement comes as easyJet celebrates the first anniversary of its base at London Southend Airport, which opened in March 2025. Since then, the airline has flown more than 800,000 passengers to and from the airport, demonstrating strong and sustained demand from customers and supporting jobs and connectivity across the region.
