Essex Book Festival Is Making Waves

>Two related workshops have been set up on writing radio / audio drama - on 14th September 2013 at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford and on 12th October 2013 at the Lakeside Theatre. Jessica Dromgoole will be leading these workshops and for the October one she will be joined by award-winning playwright Katie Hims. Please note that you do not need to have attended the workshop/s in order to enter the competiton.

>The workshops can be booked by anyone and we’re expecting them to sell out quickly as there are only 20 places available for each. The competition can be entered by anyone who lives, works or studies in Essex and is 16 years or older.

Don't forget that Menagerie Theatre Company's exciting Hotbed Festival of new writing takes place at the Mercury Theatre Colchester and nearby venues from this Thursday 18th until Sunday 21st July. Lyn Gardner called it 'wonderful' in her Guardian blog on Saturday so come along and see for yourself - tickets are very reasonably priced, with some events pay what you can...there's going to be a great buzz so hope to see you there!
