Fashion capitals of the world have showcased effortlessly the upcoming autumn winter 2014 collections fresh from the runway. From knit layers to Fendi’s sheer the diversity seen within each collection had us just a little bit excited for the winter months.

Texture is a big underlying trend for the season and Prada’s fuzzy fabric brought us just that. The robe coat incorporated texture and was featured within many designers collections; inspired by the bathrobe yet on the catwalk in a loungy silhouette is an effortless wardrobe must have this season. Designers such as Céline and Moschino tested the way The Robe Coat can be worn from stylishly cool to mischievously fun.

The shoe of the winter season is the Mule. The stubborn shoe has made it into another season but with an update. Top designers such as Alexander Wang, used fur, pointed toes and higher vamps to reinvent what could be thought of as your grandmother’s shoe will become a shoe to die for this season.

Folklore Fantasy takes us back to earth channeling boho glamour of the 70’s and the bohemian era. Dolce & Gabbana’s animalistic embroidery creates a fun yet classical looking style perfect for the autumn months. High-street brands such as Topshop highlight this trend fresh off the catwalk with tile print culottes and embroidered gilet’s.
