Fitness for Mums, babies and bumps

Thursday 17th September 2015

Mums-to-be, new Mums and their babies can all try out fun and friendly fitness sessions in Southend at just £2 each.

These activities are being held at different venues across the borough to help as many people as possible reach them easily.

Mums and Bumps:
These sessions are held at:
· 7pm on Thursdays, at Southend Hospital Education Centre, Prittlewell Chase, Westcliff, SS0 0RY
· 10am on Fridays, St Lukes’s Community Hub, Cluny Square

Mums and Babies:
These sessions are at:
· 11:30am on Mondays at Blenheim Children’s Centre, School Way, Blenheim Chase, Leigh, SS9 4HX
· 10:30am on Thursdays at Hamstel Children’s Centre, Hamstel Road, Southend, SS2 4PQ
· 11am on Fridays at St Luke’s Community Hub, Cluny Square

Executive Councillor for Enterprise, Tourism and Economic Development, Councillor Graham Longley said: “Taking exercise and keeping fit are very important at all stages of life, but especially significant for Mums-to-be, Mums and their babies

“These enjoyable and affordable fitness sessions will help Mums as they deal with the challenges of motherhood, and will help give their babies the best possible start.

“We hope as many as possible take up these opportunities.”
