Kaiser Chiefs and Dizzee Rascal announced for Lazydays Festival 2027

Lazydays Festival has announced Kaiser Chiefs as its Saturday night headliner for 2027, joining previously announced Friday headliner Dizzee Rascal for the festival’s biggest line-up to date.

The independent Southend-on-Sea festival, founded by three friends from the city, will return to Priory Park from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 July 2027, with Kaiser Chiefs confirmed to headline Saturday 24 July, with more than 3,000 tickets already sold for its fourth edition.

One of the defining British indie bands of the past two decades, Kaiser Chiefs have built a catalogue packed with instantly recognisable festival anthems including I Predict a Riot, Ruby, Everyday I Love You Less and Less, Never Miss a Beat and Oh My God.

Renowned for their high-energy live shows and huge crowd singalongs, their Southend headline slot represents another major step forward for Lazydays as the independently run festival continues to grow its national profile while remaining rooted in Southend.

A true pioneer of British music, Dizzee Rascal has played a defining role in the development of grime and British rap over a career spanning more than two decades. His catalogue includes major hits such as Bonkers, Dance Wiv Me, Holiday, Bassline Junkie and Fix Up, Look Sharp, with his Friday night headline performance set to open the 2027 weekend in style.

“Kaiser Chiefs have been one of the names our audience has asked us for again and again, so being able to finally announce them feels like a really significant moment for the festival.

First-time Lazydayers consistently tell us after the festival that they wished they had come for the whole weekend - and our growing lineup is another reason for people to come for the whole experience.

We’re proud to be an independent festival, built here in Southend by a small local team, and being able to bring acts like Kaiser Chiefs and Dizzee Rascal to Priory Park shows how far Lazydays has come in a relatively short space of time.”

Lazydays Festival launched in 2024 and has quickly established itself as one of Essex’s major summer events, combining live music with DJs, comedy, independent food and drink, family entertainment and a strong focus on supporting local businesses.

More than 12,000 people attended the 2026 edition of the festival, with Tinie Tempah, Feeder, Kathy Sledge, The Feeling and Natalie Imbruglia on the lineup. Organisers are continuing to develop the event for 2027, including the introduction of satellite camping with shuttle bus transport to Priory Park.

Further artists, including the festival’s Sunday headliner and full supporting line-up, will be announced in the coming weeks.
