Southend City Jam map now available ahead of fifth year of the iconic event

A new festival map for Southend City Jam is now available, giving residents and visitors the chance to plan their route around this year's event and discover where artists will be creating live artwork across the city centre and seafront.

The three-day festival, which is completely free, returns from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August, celebrating its fifth year and bringing together internationally renowned street artists alongside local creative talent.

This year's line-up includes internationally acclaimed artists from across the UK and around the world, including Australian street art star Sofles, who was recently announced as a headline artist for the festival.

Visitors can use the map to locate featured artists, plan their festival experience and find community activities, workshops and live art locations throughout the weekend. The event will once again transform Southend into a vibrant open-air gallery, with large-scale murals and installations created in full view of the public.

"There’s always a real buzz around Southend City Jam, but celebrating its fifth year makes this one particularly special. It has grown into one of Europe’s largest street art festivals, bringing incredible artists from around the world to Southend and helping put our city firmly on the map as a creative and cultural destination.

“Much of the artwork created during City Jam will remain for people to discover and enjoy long after the weekend is over, adding to the fantastic collection of street art we already have across the city. But there really is nothing quite like being here while it’s happening, seeing these extraordinary works being created live, meeting the artists, soaking up the atmosphere and getting involved yourself.

“I’m especially pleased to see the community workshops returning. We know how popular they’ve been in previous years, and they give people of all ages the chance to have a go, get creative and be part of City Jam rather than simply watching from the sidelines.

“So I’d encourage people to come down, make a day or a weekend of it, explore the city centre and seafront and enjoy everything Southend has to offer. This is going to be a fantastic celebration of art, creativity and our city.”
