Live music takes centre stage at Old Leigh Regatta

Old Leigh is set to come alive this weekend as the popular Old Leigh Regatta returns on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, bringing live music, traditional competitions and family entertainment to the waterfront.

A packed programme of live music will be spread across two stages on Saturday and Sunday, giving visitors plenty of opportunities to enjoy local performers while soaking up the atmosphere of the historic fishing village.

The Main Sail Stage on Victoria Wharf Car Park features live performances from Sounds Of Hungerground at 1.30pm, The Big Maxbrite Yellow Suitcase at 2.15pm and 24k Bruno from 3.45pm, alongside the ever-popular banana and cockle-eating competitions.

Meanwhile, the Soslam Midships Stage on Strand Wharf will showcase Izzy Rodol, James Tunbridge, Chris Davison, Mick Nixon, New Again and Ruby Bea, with performances running from 11am through to 3pm.

The regatta will also feature its traditional sailing events and a host of family activities, making it a weekend celebrating both Old Leigh's maritime heritage and its strong community spirit.

With free entertainment, live music and plenty to see and do, organisers are expecting another busy weekend on the waterfront.

The Old Leigh-on-sea Regatta takes place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September, with activities getting underway from 11am.
