Mums the word!

Mums the word on 31st March. What have you got planned for the special day? If you’re in need of an outing, then look no further. So many places are doing some fantastic deals to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Feeling a little bit crafty? Create 98 are doing a mother and child workshop, making a plaster cast of plants and flowers. This is on March 30th 10am-12.30pm, booking essential.

Why not treat yourself to an afternoon tea while the kids are in the soft play. Megacentre in Rayleigh are doing their first Mother’s Day event at £12.50 per ticket. Each ticket allows two children in the soft play for free.

Like the sound of the above two suggestions? You will love Crafternoon Tea at Revelations in Hadleigh. Come and paint some ceramics and enjoy some tea and cake on Saturday 30th March from 3pm-5pm. £20 per ticket, booking essential.

Why not check up on the new baby lambs and their mums at Barleylands? Or go on a bumpy tractor ride. All mums get in for free on Sunday 31st March. And you could even enjoy an afternoon tea in the family friendly Tiptree Tearooms afterwards.

Bring your little investigators down to the Police Museum in Chelmsford for some Mother’s Day crafts. Kids can decorate a heart shaped wreath and make a card. 10am-3.30pm, £2 per child.

The Royals Shopping Centre are giving all mums free daffodils on 30th March 11am-3pm, and Ryan the Lion will be out to entertain the kids. Arrive early to avoid disappointment, as flowers may run out. Why not team this trip to the Royals with a ride on the Southend Cliff lift? Its only 50 pence a ride and children are allowed to press the button to operate it. You could also walk the Pier, go on some rides in Adventure Island or try and hit the jackpot in the arcades.
