FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK...

Let me preface this review by saying that I am NOT a fitness person. I have never joined a gym, find exercise a daunting horror, and put a lot of importance on, say, eating biscuits and watching Netflix over keeping fit. HOWEVER. I went along to Rockcercise in Southend with an open mind, and I have to say: I bloody loved it. The hour-long workout is accompanied by AC/DC, Metallica and Aerosmith, and the moves are... well... ROCK! You mime drumming with dumbells! You run around doing air guitar! There is even headbanging. (It was at this point I hoped someone was walking their dog past this church hall and saw us all through the window, it must have looked hilarious.)

Make this for your loved one this weekend! With delicate & floral flavours of Gin, Aperol, Cranberry & a touch of rose essence, it makes for a great aperitif & with any luck your lady will love you for it!
You'll need:
25ml Gin
25ml Aperol
50ml Cranberry Juice
1/2 a Lemon
1 Egg White
Grenadine
1 teaspoon Rose Essence
Martini Glass
Cocktail Shaker
Ice
Hibiscus Flower for garnish

THE PASSIONATE GARDENER

It starts all of a sudden, just a little bit of sun, and we look into the garden, and we think we should be digging and raking and clearing up the borders, well that's what we are here for. We are now being booked up with more challenges, of lots of rain and then solid borders, but the end effect is brilliant, especially if all the borders have been prepared in the autumn. We shall be planting blue bells, lily of the valley and also snowdrops for this winter/spring. Are you prepared?
