LEIGH-ON-SEA NAMED 4TH BEST PLACE TO LIVE IN THE UK!

We're delighted that our amazing home-town has been named the fourth best place to live in the UK in a recent list from The Times.

This isn't the first time our town, the cooler little sister of Southend, has been heralded as such. We're very lucky with what we have here. We have great views, the estuary, parks, a cultural arts scene, great schools, Scout and Guide groups. Our independent businesses thrive here too. The Times mentioned the annual Art Trail, and of course we've also got Leigh Folk Festival (now in its 24th year!) and Village Green - all wonderful examples of how our community comes together to make something great.

TOULOUSE RESTAURANT - OUR REVIEW

Ok, so last Sunday the age old argument started between my wife and I, where do we go for lunch? Now, the weather pays an important part in our decision, after all you don't want to be sitting in a dark intimate restaurant if it's lovely sunshine outside, albeit this sort of place has its romance on the right day! Well, the sun was certainly shining that morning, although rather chilly, so, we decided, Toulouse.

Not having been here since Christmas Day, a visit was well overdue.  Also, they had recently employed a new head chef, so that further swayed our decision.
