SHANE RICHIE AND FAYE TOZER TO STAR IN CLIFFS PAVILION PANTOMIME SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS

A celebrated panto legend, Shane returns to Southend to headline the cast as Muddles at the Cliffs Pavilion, marking 14 years since his last pantomime appearance at the venue. Popstar and musical theatre star Faye Tozer, best-known as part of Steps, will join Shane as The Wicked Queen.

Shane Richie is a well-known star of prime-time television, acclaimed for his charismatic on screen presence. In addition to his illustrious television career, Shane has many theatre credits to his name, including the London West End and Manchester production of Grease, Boogie Nights, A Perfect Murder, Not Dead Enough, a sellout UK tour of Scrooge and has played ‘Hugo’ and ‘Loco Chanelle’ in Everybody’s Talking about Jamie in the West End and on UK tour. Most recently, Shane performed to sell out shows across the UK alongside his long-time pals Brian Conley, Joe Pasquale and Bradley Walsh as one quarter of the The Prat Pack, which returns to Southend in September.

It’s been 14 years since I last performed in pantomime here, so it feels very special to be back for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I can’t wait to be part of the festive fun alongside the wonderful Faye, share plenty of laughs and a bit of mischief, and meet those brilliant Southend audiences - roll on panto season!”

Popstar Faye Tozer is best-known as part of the hit sensation Steps. Outside of the Steps-phere, Faye Tozer has also enjoyed an extensive theatre career, starring to great acclaim in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s one-woman musical Tell Me On A Sunday and Singin’ in the Rain at London’s Sadler’s Wells. Faye is currently on tour with Mean Girls The Musical, which visits Southend in July. In 2018, Faye took part in the sixteenth series of BBC One’s primetime show, Strictly Come Dancing, where she sashayed into the final and wowed audiences with her incredible footwork, only narrowly missing out on winning the coveted glitter ball trophy.

I’ve always loved pantomime - it’s such a joyful, magical tradition, and there’s nothing quite like the energy of a panto audience. Working with Shane makes it even more special.”

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is staged by Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, led by Michael Harrison and the team behind recent Cliffs Pavilion Christmas successes including last year’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk.
