Travel chaos fears as work commences on A127
Major improvement works at the Kent Elms junction of the A127 are due to commence today casuing fears of raffic chaos.
The major improvements follow on from the preliminary works carried out back in 2016 in preperation for a new lane.
Eurovia, Southend Council's Contractor, have put various measures in place in a bid to keep disruption to a minimum. Lane closures on the London-bound carriageway will only taken place in off-peak periods of between 9:30 and 3:30pm.
The works are expected to be completed by the summer.
