Trust Links Southend is Looking for Volunteers

September 23, 2020

Trust Links, Southend’s leading mental health charity, is currently seeking to recruit and train 100 volunteers to provide telephone or video calls to those feeling isolated at a minimum of once each week for a new befriending project – Talking Together. The charity are aiming to recruit volunteers with a background in counselling or mental health support as well as those who would be keen to develop skills and experience in this area.

Trust Links are currently lacking in female volunteers to help support female Befriendees, but want to emphasise that everyone is encouraged to apply and volunteer with Talking Together.

This is a fantastic opportunity, and volunteers will get expert training and support, along with the chance to get a Mental Health First Aid qualification as part of their volunteering opportunity. The role is Covid-secure and entirely telephone based.

If you are interested in volunteering with Talking Together, volunteers are encouraged to email support@trustlinks.org or call the office on 01702 213134. For more information and to view a full job description, visit www.trustlinks.org/Talking-together/
