Yoga on Prescription with Yoga4all

The Yoga4Health on Prescription free 10 week programme has been created to support NHS patients to gain self care skills. It is an evidence based programme that was commissioned by the NHS and created by the Yoga in Health Care Alliance.

It uses yoga techniques combined with modern medical science and does not promote any religious or spiritual belief. Practices are very gentle and can be practiced on a mat or in a chair.

A weekly yoga class running for 10 weeks. Classes are themed each week with home practice between classes is recommended.

The course is suitable for people;

Suffering with stress, mild anxiety or depression.

At risk of Type 2 diabetes or a cardiovascular event.

Suffering from social isolation.

​The programme teaches;

Yoga, breathing, Yoga poses, Gentle stretching, Relaxation and Mindfulness techniques

​​Friday 11 Sept - 1.30-2.30pm - 8 wks - (this course is designed with Neurodivergent needs in mind) - Venue - St Nicholas Church, Canvey

​Thursday 24 Sept 2026 - 2-3.15pm - 10 wks - Venue - Southend City Community College, Ambleside Drive

Tuesday 6 Oct 2026 - 1.15-2.30pm - 10 wks - Venue - Balmoral Community Centre, Westcliff-on-Sea
