'Spooktacular' Southend Halloween Parade Returns
Get ready for a night of spooky fun as the Southend Halloween Parade returns to the seafront on Saturday 26 October!
This free event promises an evening filled with music, dancing, incredible costumes, and dazzling light-up puppets, making it the ultimate Halloween celebration for all ages.
We're thrilled to welcome our new sponsor, c2c Rail, onboard for this year's event. c2c is a leading rail operator providing vital transport services from London to South Essex, known for its commitment to supporting local communities and making travel convenient, comfortable, and sustainable. With their support, this year's parade is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
Rob Mullen, managing director of c2c Rail, said: "We are thrilled to support the Halloween Parade, a fantastic community event that brings thousands of people to the seafront for a night of fun, creativity and 'spooktacular' festivities.
"c2c is committed to connecting communities and this sponsorship is a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the vibrant city of Southend that we proudly serve daily.”
As always, the Southend Halloween Parade is a true community affair, and we want the whole city to get involved. Whether you’re a business looking to decorate a float, a dance troupe wanting to showcase your talents, or a group of friends or family ready to join the spooky festivities, you’re welcome to be part of the free parade.
The only requirement is that you bring your best illuminated and Halloween-themed look. If you’re interested in participating, head over to our website for more details on how to join the parade.
Councillor Matt Dent, cabinet member for culture, tourism and business, added: "The Southend Halloween Parade has become a highlight of our city’s events calendar, and it’s fantastic to see so many people come together to make it a success.
"This year, with the exciting addition of c2c as our sponsor, we’re able to take the event to new heights. So, whether you’re joining the parade or coming along to watch, it’s a wonderful way to celebrate our community’s creativity and I encourage everyone to get involved and help make this the best parade yet!"
