Catch those captivating kings of the road!
Catch those captivating kings of the road!
Wednesday 16th September 2015
Revel in magnificent motoring memories at Southend seafront’s latest spectacular classic car event.
From 8am until 4pm on Sunday 20th September, a cavalcade of lovingly-preserved vehicles aged at least 25 years old, will be stationed on City Beach Marine Parade, Southend SS1 2EN for all to see and admire
This is the last classic car showcase of the year and is not to be missed.
The owners of these well-polished historic masterpieces can enjoy the welcome of a free Southend breakfast courtesy of Southend seafront traders – while residents and visitors flock for a closer look at cars of the past.
To celebrate this event, the band Blazin’ Aces will be playing on the seafront on Sunday too.
Executive Councillor for Enterprise, Tourism and Economic Development, Councillor Graham Longley said: “Classic Cars are a major attraction for people of all ages.
“They spark many memories for those who remember when these vehicles were an everyday sight, and they are also of great interest for those who may never have seen anything like them before.
“We are very grateful to the Classic Car Club for their help in organising the events we have held this year, for the owners who come along display their fabulous vehicles, and to our seafront traders for their support in sponsoring the breakfasts.
“All the available classic car places for Sunday are now fully booked so we hope as many people as possible come along to see this unique spectacle, enhanced by the music of a live band.”
