MySouthend gets even bigger and better

Friday 29th January 2016

Southend-on-Sea’s secure online service, MySouthend, will expand from the 3rd February to include certain Housing Benefit and various Council Tax forms.

Almost 5,000 residents have registered with MySouthend since its launch in September 2015. The secure online service gives residents, businesses and landlords access to their accounts 24 hours per day, saving time on visiting or telephoning the Council.

Residents who register with MySouthend by 31st March 2016 will be entered into a prize draw for an iPad mini. The winner of the previous prize draw, Mrs. Maria Tucker of Leigh-on-Sea, will receive her prize of £100 of Cliffs Pavilion tickets at the Civic Centre on Monday 1st February at 11.00.

Cllr. Ian Gilbert, Deputy Leader of the Council, said: ‘I am delighted to be presenting Mrs Tucker with her prize and would encourage more residents to register with MySouthend.

With almost 5,000 registrations so far, it is proving to be a very successful part of the Council’s offer to residents.’
