I have walked past the Peter Boat on quite a few occasions during their refurbishment, and judging by the amount of work that appeared to be going on, I was anticipating wonderful things! After visting last sunday, I honestly think the refurbishment has worked wonders. So next time you find yourself wandering the cobbled paths of Old Leigh and need some good reasonable pub grub, why not try the ‘all new’ Peterboat!

RECORD STORE DAY 2015

Saturday morning. 8am. The sun bounced off the pavement of Leigh Broadway, reflected up in the sunglasses of a queue of people. Music ranging from Salt'n'Pepa to The Fall swam from a vintage Dansette record player and out into the street. Balloons displayed outside the independent record shop signified that this was Record Store Day - the day we're encouraged to buy vinyl from our local independent record shop!

When you pay your bill at Oasis you can make a donation for a suspended coffee or suspended meal. Oasis is owned and managed by Leigh Road Baptist Church and its with the churchs support that they are able to do what they do.
