Southend BID Launch a Free Christmas Tree Trail

December 8, 2020

This December Southend Business Improvement District (BID) has created a great free festive word hunt for kids and big kids alike. The Southend BID Christmas Tree Trail will run from Monday 7th – Sunday 20th December 2020.

Twelve colourful Christmas trees with festive words have been placed in business windows across the town. Those looking to take part in the tree trail can download an activity pack from the Visit Southend website which includes a map of the areas to spot the trees and some puzzles for extra fun. Once the words have all been found send through a picture of your completed word hunt sheet to Hello@SouthendBID.com by 5pm on Sunday 20th December for your chance to win one of the three great prizes available.

Suzanne Gloyne, Southend BID Manager, said “We are delighted to bring our first festive trail to Southend and offer this fun filled, free activity for families to take part in this Christmas. This self-guided trail will safely encourage people back into the town and businesses again without the risk of crowds as it can be done at any time.

The bonus of taking part is that you might win one of the prizes which have been generously donated by Adventure Inside, Caddies and Toys ’n’ Tuck – just in time for Christmas!”

The prizes on offer include a four person family pass for crazy golf at Caddies, a ticket for one child plus one adult to visit Adventure Inside wonderland and to meet Santa, and a £50 gift voucher from Toys ‘n’ Tuck. Submissions must be in by Sunday 20th December 2020 at 5pm for your chance to win one of the prizes on offer. Winners will be picked at random on the week commencing Monday 21st December 2020 and will be contacted accordingly.

Businesses are continuing to operate in a COVID secure manner according to the latest restrictions and guidelines. Those taking part are asked to continue following the hands, face, space safety rules.
