Briefing to help businesses fly high

The final Southend Business Partnership briefing of the year is taking place on Thursday 16 November.

The event is being held at the Holiday Inn, Southend Airport, with registration and networking taking place from 7.30am, and the business briefing being held from 8.30am to 10am.

The business briefings are run by the Southend Business Partnership and provide a great opportunity for businesses to network with other local businesses, and to hear from a range of inspirational speakers.

Speakers include Southend-on-Sea Borough Council Chief Executive Alison Griffin, Nick Gray from CityFibre, Nicholas Smith of Cantel (UK) Ltd and the Management team at Amazon.

There will also be the opportunity for businesses to pose their questions to a panel of council representatives and local business representatives, In our marketplace you will have the opportunity to talk to a range of organisations offering information, business support and grants including Trading Standards, South Essex College, The Best Business Growth Hub, NWES, City Fibre, Procurement and The Hive.

Cllr Ann Holland, Executive Councillor for Culture, Tourism and the Economy, said: “The business partnership briefings are always a popular event, and they offer local businesses the opportunity to gain advice from business professionals, as well as having the possibility to network with similar businesses.
