London Southend Airport give free hugs!

London Southend Airport have today launched their #bearhugs campaign. We all have someone that we are unable to hug at this time and the campaign is designed to bring people together during lock down by sharing pictures of their teddies. Each week there is the opportunity to win a teddy bear to give #bearhugs!

Make your teddy or soft toy famous by sharing their portrait on social media. Take a photo, draw a picture or get creative with crafts to submit your entry. Post your image along with the hashtag #bearhugs and tag @southendairport. Every week, all entries will be placed in a random selector and the winner will be announced.

Glyn Jones, CEO London Southend Airport, “At this challenging time, we are doing all we can to support our local community, from NHS care packages to collaborations with charities. These bear hugs are a way to reach out during lock down when people may feel anxious or lonely. We can all think of someone we would like to hug at the moment, so we are sending teddies out to the community to try to spread a little much needed cheer.”

The campaign starts on Monday 4th May and the first winner will be announced this Friday 8th May via the airport social pages.
